THE RMIT LSS CRIMINAL LAW MOOT 2025
The LSS is working with our partners in industry and the university to bring a Criminal Law Moot to students on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July 2025. Moot competitions represent a fun, safe and practical opportunity for law students to develop their courtroom advocacy skills.
The competition rounds will take place in the Former Melbourne Magistrates' Court on the corner of La Trobe Street & Russell Street - the site of famous trials including Ned Kelly (1880) and Eureka Stockade rebels (1855). We are excited to invite student competitors into this historic building for a weekend of friendly competition and networking with expert legal practitioners.
Teams of at least 3 and up to 4 students who are currently enrolled in a Law or Legal Studies program at RMIT are eligible to compete. We strongly encourage students considering a career in advocacy to register, regardless of their experience level. Click here to view the registration form. Registrations close on 7 June 2025.
Information about the final moot schedule, team allocations, information session(s), competition rules and due date for written submissions will be released at the conclusion of the Semester 1 Assessment Period.
