The Careers portfolio collaborates with special guests and speakers to provide content for training videos across a variety of career development related subjects, and facilitate the annual Careers Conversations Evening, training seminars, workshops in collaboration with law firms and professionals who work within the corporate and public sphere.
Essentially the portfolio works to provide students with information and opportunities to inform them of the potential pathways to undertake relevant to law, and how to best prepare themselves for their future.

careers resourcesThese resources provide RMIT law students a detailed insight on the pathway to legal practice and beyond. The Careers and Clerkships guide, for example, takes students through CV preparations, exploring opportunities as well as introducing our sponsor law firms and Practical Training Institutions.

PLT INFORMATION SESSIONThis event was an opportunity to bridge the gap between law student's academic knowledge and working as a lawyer - this is where Practical Legal Training came in. The intention was to allow students to learn more about our PLT sponsors and how to prepare them for a career in law.

NIBBLES AND NETWORKING NIGHTThis event was a collaboration with Leo Cussen Centre for Law to allow for a discussion with professionals and industry experts - RMIT alumni and other legal professionals specialising in areas such as wills and estates, corporate M&A, and criminal law joined the discussions and it gave Leo Cussen an opportunity to meet RMIT law students in person.
